Many times, we crave for something extraordinary. To live in some fantasy world; a life of a star, ruler of a country or a hero in a time of chaos. After watching Marley and Me, I was reminded of how extraordinary life itself already is. We just got too caught up in the routine; wishing for something better that you overlooked the amazing but subtle hints that make life colorful.
We follow a bunch of soap operas (or jdramas) to be moved by scripted life story of someone else in another place and another time. Yet when we approach our own lives, any “drama” is a nuisance.
Maybe if we learn to see the little things, we appreciate our own lives more. Maybe we can embrace the “downs” as part of enriching the story. Maybe then, we can take little steps of our own to add a little colour to life for those around us as well.

Things seem boring if it’s a routine. Do something different daily to ‘spice’ it up. Or except that your life is probably going to be boring most of the time.
Yeah.. what if life isn’t routine at all.. There are many subtle things that make every day different. Maybe we just subconsciously make it routine because its easier that way…
Or we just overlook anything different making us feel everyday is boring. Maybe we just have to learn to be more observant ?
loved that movie!
and yes, as a mom, life is extra ordinary.
Yeah, it’s ironic how we enjoy watching dramas on TV but when little dramas happen in our own life, we kind of gasp in sheer shock.
Actually life isn’t really routine, but yes we do end up automating some stuff that we know we need to do & even automate the response to certain situations in case they happen as well. It’s what makes us efficient. Just that after a while, we forget that those are the little things that spice up our lives & we become oblivious to it. When that happens, it’s classified as boring.
